FAQs

  • We chose to practice outside the realm of insurance with your best interest in mind. Unfortunately insurance companies tend to be restrictive on the level and depth of care we wish to provide here at Reform. Our goal is to do all that will benefit you the most in the long-term, not what the insurance company says we are allowed to do. We pride ourselves on having a diverse set of skills to serve you best and we want to be able to utilize those resources.

Our prices are listed on our booking page so that you may decide if care is affordable for you before your first appointment. For most, our costs are comparable, If not more affordable than price-points with insurance companies.

We can provide a super-bill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network coverage for chiropractic care. The best way to figure this out is by calling your insurance company directly. There is a chance they may not be able to fully reimburse you.

  • An adjustment is a quick, controlled force to a joint preformed by the hands of a chiropractor that helps to restore motion to the joint, reduce pain and improve function. There are a variety of techniques that can be utilized depending on the patient and their preferences.

  • Certain adjustments cause a popping sound, which is just a change of pressure in the joint space that cases a bubble of gas to pop. Just like when you crack your knuckles. The sound does not indicate the quality of the adjustment. If those sounds make you nervous, there are other techniques we may utilize at Reform that do not cause any sound.

  • No. For example, an infant would never be adjusted the way an adult is. The pressure used to adjust a baby is less that the amount of force you would use to test the ripeness of a tomato.

The type of adjustment preformed depends on both patient and doctor preference so that both are comfortable. Some people prefer not to hear any popping noises so different techniques are utilized that do not produce that sound.

  • Yes! Most pregnant women who receive chiropractic care find that their pain associated with the changing dynamic of their bodies during pregnancy is alleviated. We have a special table to accommodate as the belly grows.

  • Chiropractors are portal-of-entry doctors, so a referral is not necessary. Chiropractic education prepares us to assess, diagnose and treat. If you do have a referral, we love collaborating with other specialities to provide you the best outcome.

  • Absolutely! Babies experience trauma during the birthing process rather it be a natural birth or a c-section. A well functioning nervous system is crucial for a developing infant. Techniques utilized to adjust a baby are very low force and precise. In fact, some babies sleep right through their adjustment. The pressure used to adjust a baby is less that the amount of force you would use to test the ripeness of a tomato.

Kids don’t typically complain of pain. They start taking some trips and tumbles as they learn to walk. Soon enough they start carrying a heavy backpack to school and try new sports. Kiddos are pretty resilient, however these all causes a little bit of stress to the musculoskeletal system, disrupting their nervous system. Proper alignment of their spine allows for undisrupted communication between the brain and body so that they can adapt, heal and continue to develop. Childhood is the best time to begin working toward optimal health!

  • Chiropractic care helps you to feel better, move better, and think better. Too many people suffer in pain and haven’t found relief. Chiropractic care is a minimally invasive treatment that helps to eliminate acute or chronic pain cycles and improve your daily functioning.

Rather you are having pain or not, consistent chiropractic care can help eliminate problems before they have a major impact on your day-to-day life. Just like a balanced diet, regular dental care, and physical activity improve you well-being, regular chiropractic care can also help improve and/or maintain your well-being.

  • We do not take any images in our office, nor do we order much imaging. Typically x-rays do not change our treatment methods or outcomes. If anything, unnecessary imaging actually does more harm than good for the patient. Of course if there is significant trauma or if we believe there is something bigger going on that warrants special studies (x-ray, MRI, diagnostic ultrasound) we will absolutely refer you for that.

  • Treatment plans are made on an individual, case-by case basis. While one individual may only need a couple visits to get through an injury, others may chose to come in every few of months because it keeps them feeling good. Everyone has their own preferences based on their goals, lifestyle and budget, and we are more than happy to honor those preference.
